TBC43400F14G 400 Ampere 3 Phase Mag-Break Mod. 5 is a specific type of circuit breaker. These do not have thermal overload protection, but only magnetic protection. Used in conjunction with NEMA motor starters, thermal protection is provided by the Mag starter. The specific purpose of this MCP type breaker is to provide magnetic overload protection and to avoid nuisance tripping that commonly occurs while starting up electric motors.
